STAMFORD BRIDGE PLAYERS CURRENT SITUATION

In view of the current situations and restrictions that are in place, Stamford Bridge Players Committee have made the decision to delay the 2021 pantomime until OCTOBER at the earliest. This means that, at present, there are no adult productions planned until then although there is the possibility of putting on a play in May as in previous years and there are also plans in place to have Youth Group productions take place in July and December as per previous years.

Once the situation gets back to some level of normality, the situation will be reviewed

Stamford Bridge Players (SBP) Theatre Group are based in the village of Stamford Bridge, just outside York.

Each year they produce a pantomime and one or two plays whilst the youth section has two productions although 2020 has been an exception due to the Covid 19 virus

2020 was the group's 50th anniversary but this has had to be put on hold. It is hopes that some form of event can be held in 2021 to celebrate 50 years of productions - watch this space!!

Before lock-down we did manage to completed a very successful pantomime which received much praise form the audiences - this is particularly pleasing as both principle boy and principle girl were, in fact members of the youth group for the first time.

At present we are unable to take on new members for either the senior or junior groups. However, once we can open up and welcome new members be sure we will let Stamford Bridge know.
